*******************************
In early July, the prairie comes alive around the Black Hills of South Dakota. Deer, bighorn, and bison roam, young prairie dog frolic near their dens, and wildflowers abound. This will be a photo-intensive workshop concentrating on fieldwork. Beginning in the Badlands we’ll photograph some its spectacularly harsh scenery. Moving to the Black Hills we’ll concentrate on photographing a number of Native Americans in a natural setting, along with the wildlife of Custer State Park, and many of the scenic vistas of the Black Hills. Finally ending with a beautiful canyon setting and photographing a number of its waterfalls. We will concentrate on landscape, wildlife, and model shoots for our images. Cost includes lodging (rates based on double occupancy), transportation and fees within the parks, modeling fees, and two meals per day. (Workshop transportation, lodging, and meals are for paying workshop attendees only.)
Information
Challenge your photographic skills and rekindle your passion with these small-group photography workshops.
You’ll learn proven techniques for nature, landscape, wildlife, macro, model, and travel photography as you photograph dramatic scenery of Badlands National Park, wildlife, prairie flowers, and the Native Americans of the region. Northwest professional photographers David Cobb and Christian Heeb lead this workshop and share their refreshing approach to outdoor and location photography. You’ll explore your own personal vision and find creative inspiration through instruction in the art of composition, depth-of-field techniques, capturing motion, and strategies for metering and exposure. The workshops are recommended for intermediate to advanced photographers, but photographers at all levels will find extraordinary opportunities for learning. If you’re passionate about photography as a hobby or are interested in selling your images, these programs are for you. Make reservations early!
